About Pathani Samanta Mathematics Scholarship Test

PMST is the abbreviation for Pathani Samanta Mathematics Scholarship Test. This scholarship test is conducted by Board of Secondary Education Odisha every year.

The latest exam was done for the academic year 2021-22. Now its result is declared, but first of all know some basic things about Pathani Samanta Mathematics Scholarship Test.

The aim of PMST is to identify meritorious students in the state of Odisha for promoting their talents in Mathematics.

The scholarship test generally taken in 2 stages i.e. Stage- I for class 6th students and Stage- II for class 9th students. Not all students, only those are eligible for the test if they meet the eligibility criteria decided by BSE Odisha.

Selected students in the scholarship test will be awarded by some scholarship money directly in their bank account every month.

PMST 2022 Eligibility

Mostly every student can appear in the scholarship test only if they meet the following eligibility criteria. Check the details for Stage- I and Stage- II exam respectively.

For Stage-I

• Candidate must be a student of odia medium school.
• Candidate must be studying in class 6 (VI)in a govt. or govt. aided school.
• Candidate must passed class 5th annual examination with 50% or above marks in Mathematics.

For Stage-II

• Candidate must be a student of odia medium school.
• Candidate must be studying in class 9 (IX)in a govt. or govt. aided school.
• Candidate must passed class 8th annual examination with 50% or above marks in Mathematics.

NOTE:- There is also Stage-III in Pathani Samanta Mathematics Scholarship Test for class 11th (+2 1st Yr) students. Here no test is conducted, but the selection of students is done by listing top 300 scorers in Mathematics in Annual HSC Examination under BSE Odisha.

PMST 2022 All Details

Pathani Samanta Mathematics Scholarship Test for the academic year 2021-22 is conducted in the year of 2022. Total 85,092 students registered their name for PMST 2021-22 exam and out of total 8,625 students are absent in the test.

The scholarship test was held on 11th March 2022 in approximately 539 exam centers in all over Odisha.

Considering the above numbers, total 70,853 students from both Stage-I & Stage-II are selected for the scholarship money. Cut off mark is 30% of full mark.
