This web portal collects data from unorganised workers like labour, traders, farmers, street vendors, domestic workers, Gig and Platform workers etc. For India, it is the first ever national data-base of unorganised workers and an attempt of Indian Governmen to extent the benefits of Social Security Schemes to them.

The government doing and running this scheme to create a national database of unorganised workers. So that they can be treated in a organised manner and it will be a direct medium for unorganised workers to get benefits from government’s social security schemes.

On behalf of recent employment scheme for NDUM (National Database of Unorganised Workers) declared by Govt. of India, Unorganised workers need to register their name on the dedicated official web portal. Here you don’t need to fill each and every section manually, the portal will seed informations of the applicant by accessing Aadhaar. Objectives of e Shram Portal

On behalf of the following objectives, Indian Government has initiated UAN e Shram Card scheme in all over the India. This is the official declaration on the official web portal, we collected from there and publishing here with giving proper credit to the owner.

e Shram Portal

This is the first ever national database of unorganised workers (NDUW) from the whole country. To centralise and systematically process the data or informations collected from unorganised workers, the Ministry of Labour & Employment has lunched e-Shram Portal.

A new web portal for this purpose was created with a simple user interface and registration dashboard. You can successfully complete the registration process and get e-Shram Card for free from the web portal.

It’s mandatory to provide Aadhaar number on this portal and all your informations will be seeded by the portal automatically. Once you successfully complete the registration process, you can get your e-Shram Card.

e-Shram Portal and all it’s contents are managed & processed by the Ministry of Labour & Employment. The portal and all it’s contents are completely digital secured.

The portal will fetch all informations of individual from provided aadhar number and will have details of name, occupation, address, educational qualification, skill type, nominee details and bank account number with IFSC code. Some informations will be automatically fetched by the portal itself with the help of aadhar details and others need to be filled manually by the applicant.

The one and only way to place the details of unorganised workers on Shramik web portal is through online registration method. Before registering on e Shramik portal or applying for e Shram Card be sure that the applicant belongs to workers of unorganised sector.

Keep in mind that everyone can’t apply for e Shram Card, it’s only for unorganised workers like labour, traders, farmers, street vendors, domestic workers, Gig and Platform workers etc. If the eligibility criteria of applicant does not meet the standard requirement then your registration will be rejected.

E Shram Card online self registration

  • Open the official web portal of e Shram or go through this link.
  • Fill the details of mobile number and captcha verification.
  • Select if you are a member of EPFO and ESIC, then click on Send OTP.
  • The otp will send to the entered mobile number and after validating You need to enter 12-digit Aadhaar number on the next page.
  • After entering aadhaar number, You need to verify that through otp sent to aadhaar linked phone number.
  • In the next page, you need to give details of personal information, address, educational qualification, occupation and skills, bank account details on respective pages.
  • At last, accept the declaration and click on submit button to complete the registration process.
  • After completing the registration, you can download UAN e Shram Card for free.

That’s all about self registration procedures in e Shram NDUW portal. Self registration means any one can do it on their own smart phone or laptop and each need to have an Aadhaar card and active mobile number linked to that aadhar number. The mobile number must be active as all steps will be validated through OTP verification.

e Shram Card Registration through CSC

Again, if those applicant never linked any mobile number to aadhaar card number or the linked mobile number is currently not active or can’t receive SMS, then don’t worry. Applicants of such category can register and get their e Shram Card by registration through CSC. CSC means Common Service Center or simply Jana Seva Kendra.

Go to nearby CSC center or Jana Seva Kendra and tell them to apply for you. You need to carry the following documents with you and these are mandatory during the registration process.

  • Aadhaar number
  • Mobile number
  • Bank account details with IFSC code

Who Can Apply for e Shram Card & Eligibility

Only Indians are eligible to apply and register for e Shram Card, but not all. Only unorganised workers can register and apply for e Shram Card Online. Their age must be in between 16 to 59. You can’t apply for Shramik card if you are a member of Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) or Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC).
